Everyone starts with —. It is tournament currency, not cash, and no deposit is required to take part.
A single bet must be at least — and at most —.
Good to know
— is also your limit on any one selection. That is your total across every unsettled bet on it — singles and parlay legs together. Back a player for the full amount and you cannot add to them again until it settles.
Elimination is worked out from your balance every time it is read, not stamped once — if a result is corrected and your balance goes back above zero, you are back in.
Important
There are no reloads. At zero with nothing pending, your tournament is over.

Play runs from 30 August to 13 September.
Entries close when the window shuts.
A bet belongs to the day it is graded, not the day it was placed. The competition day runs 5am to 5am, New York time — so a match finishing at 2am New York counts on the day that has just been played, not the one that has just begun.
Bets and parlays
Back any eligible US Open market on the odds board. Prices are taken at the moment you place; if the price moves before your bet lands it is refused rather than booked at a number you did not agree to.
A parlay combines 2 to 20 selections into one bet at a combined price. Every leg must win — one loss and the whole bet is gone.
Two selections from the same match cannot both be in one parlay.
Good to know
A parlay pays at most 50× its stake. The slip shows the true price and the capped price side by side before you place, so you always know which one you are taking.
A parlay is one bet everywhere it is counted — one towards your bet totals, one towards a daily qualification, and one stake against your balance.

The ladder is not running in this competition.
The daily prize
Every day of the tournament pays $75 to the best return on investment that day — profit divided by what you staked, so a small day played well beats a big day played badly.
To qualify for a day you need 3 settled bets and 1,000 staked on it. Voided bets count towards neither.
A parlay can win the daily. It counts as one settled bet towards the qualification, at its stake.
Good to know
Bets placed on one day can land on two. Because a bet belongs to the day it is graded, five bets placed on Monday whose matches finish across Monday and Tuesday split across both days — and neither day may reach the qualification on its own.

Four named prizes run alongside the table, and the current leader of each is shown at the top of the leaderboard.

Bookie's Best Friend — lowest roi, 15 settled bets minimum. $25
Good to know
Bookie's Best Friend needs 15 settled bets. Below that nobody qualifies, however poor the return — the floor is there so one bad bet cannot take it.
Grading and prizes
Every grade and re-grade is appended to a log that cannot be edited or deleted, so a corrected result leaves a record rather than replacing one.
The table is ranked on settled balance. Money on bets that have not landed does not count towards your position until it does.
Important
A linked Bet105 account is required to claim a prize. An entrant without one is excluded from prize distribution and the prize passes to the next eligible entrant. You can link yours on the Gauntlet in Gotham hub.
