1. Who We Are

SharpCircle ("we", "us", "our") operates the SharpCircle platform at sharpcircle.bet — a verified tipster platform where users can browse tipster records, subscribe to picks, and receive betting alerts. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at admin@sharpcircle.bet.

2. What Data We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and a hashed password. Tipsters may also provide additional profile information such as a bio, avatar image, and social media links.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use SharpCircle, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the platform.
Device and technical data: We may collect your device type, browser, IP address, and push notification token (if you opt in to alerts). This is used to deliver the service and diagnose issues.
Payment data: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe may collect and process payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Communications: If you contact us via email or a support form, we retain that correspondence to respond to your query.
Betting affiliate data: If you click on affiliate links (such as our Bet105 partnership), we may receive confirmation that a click or registration occurred. We do not receive your personal data from third-party bookmakers.

3. How We Use Your Data

Account management: To create and maintain your account, authenticate logins, and manage your subscriptions.
Service delivery: To deliver pick alerts, process payments, and provide access to tipster content you have subscribed to.
Platform improvement: To understand how users interact with SharpCircle and improve our features, performance, and design.
Communications: To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets) and, where you have opted in, pick alert notifications.
Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We only share data with the following trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the platform:

Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Your account data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe handles all card transactions and is PCI-DSS compliant.
Plausible Analytics: Privacy-friendly website analytics. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.
Sentry: Error monitoring. Sentry may capture anonymised error logs to help us diagnose technical issues.
Expo / Push notification providers: If you enable push notifications, your device token is shared with Expo to deliver alerts.

We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of SharpCircle or its users.

5. Cookies

SharpCircle uses minimal cookies. We use session cookies to keep you logged in, and we use Plausible Analytics which does not set any cookies or track you across sites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (for example, transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years in line with financial regulations).

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data.
Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.
Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g. push notifications), you can withdraw it at any time.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account dashboard. Deleting your account will remove your profile, subscription history, and personal data from our active systems. Some anonymised data (such as graded pick records attributed to a tipster) may be retained for platform integrity purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

SharpCircle is not intended for use by anyone under the legal gambling age in their jurisdiction (typically 18 or 21). We do not knowingly collect data from underage users. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at admin@sharpcircle.bet and we will remove it promptly.

10. International Users

SharpCircle is accessible globally. Your data may be stored and processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws. By using SharpCircle, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely regardless of where it is processed.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use of SharpCircle after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
